What does MyCarShowroom actually do?
Our AI automatically detects your vehicle, removes the original background, and places it onto a professional studio or showroom backdrop - all in seconds.
Why do I use my email?
Your email acts as your user ID and is used only for sending download links, matching your credit balance, and recovering or resetting your optional 4-digit PIN.
What kind of photos work best?
Follow our Photo Guide: flat, level ground, stand back 12-15 metres, keep your phone at mirror/roof-line height, ensure the camera is level, use soft daylight, and leave space around the entire car.
Do I need to crop the image?
No - upload the full photo with the whole vehicle in frame.
Which file formats and sizes can I upload?
JPEG/JPG, PNG, and HEIC formats are supported. Images up to around 20 MB upload fine. iPhone HEIC files can be uploaded directly.
How much does it cost?
Most images cost around £0.60 each. You can buy a single test image or choose a credit package for better value.
How does the free trial work?
New users receive one free “try-before-you-buy” photo. Once any credit package is purchased, the free trial is considered complete.
I purchased credits but didn’t use my free shot. Can I still use it?
No. Once you buy credits, the free trial concludes automatically.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Simply choose a new credit package from the uploader dashboard. Your updated balance appears instantly.
Do I have to set a 4-digit PIN?
No - setting a PIN is optional.
When should I set a PIN?
If you want to prevent anyone else from using your email on MyCarShowroom, you can enable a 4-digit PIN for additional protection.
How does the PIN work?
If you do not set a PIN: Your email alone grants access.
If you set a PIN: It becomes required for all future logins and uploads, keeping your account secure.
Is logo placement free?
Yes. Adding your dealership or brand logo is included with every processed image.
How do I upload and position my logo?
Use the logo upload tool inside the uploader dashboard. Logos are automatically placed based on the background’s preview thumbnail layout.
Can I upload my own backgrounds?
Not at the moment. You can choose from our curated studio and showroom backdrops.
Can I use the processed photos commercially?
Yes - you can use them in listings, advertising, websites, and social media.
Backgrounds remain our intellectual property and cannot be resold as standalone background packs.
How long does processing take?
Typically seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on batch size and background complexity.
How are the images generated?
We use advanced AI to detect and segment your vehicle, then combine it with your selected background using our custom Python compositor for realistic results.
How do I receive my finished images?
You can download them instantly in your dashboard, and we also send a fallback download link by email.
How long are my images stored?
Images are securely stored for 30 days for re-download and quality checks, after which they’re automatically deleted.
Do you store my original photos?
Yes, temporarily for processing and quality assurance. You can request deletion anytime via support@mycarshowroom.co.uk.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes - fully supported on Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox across mobile and desktop. If uploads freeze, refresh and try again.
Can I get a refund?
If the output is unusable due to a technical issue on our side, we will fix or credit your account. For poor-quality source images, please follow the Photo Guide before retrying.
